We visited a few of the BP Oil Spill command centers this past week as well as a few on shore and near shore VOO operations.
Our Question was; "How does a person sign up and get listed to help with the BP Oil Spill Cleanup?"
We will be publishing some of what we found. But the best method to do now is publish your equipment, experience and your location. We are looking for agencies to pick people from our lists for shore operations and we will be adding a "Boats" section called "Vessels of Opportunity" which is what BP calls them. VOO Operations are overwhelmed and should not be contacted directly. There is a process of getting your boats and crew members listed.
Sign up and we will do our best to get all the information lined up for you.
We do not profit from this and are a volunteer group. If we can help we will. Commercial Vessels, Shrimp, Oyster farmers, fishing, etc are first selected and that's BP Clean up rules as of 6/28/2010.
